60% of Real Estate Professionals Say Green Construction Important
The Bryan Cave Survey highlights a number of real estate issues and is the second annual survey by this very large international law firm. With 12% of real estate executives saying green construction will be very important in the next 12 to 18 months and 48% saying it will be somewhat important, it’s clear that the momentum has shifted toward green development. This is a dramatic change in just the past two years. Are you seeing this evidence where you work, if you’re an architect, engineer, builder or developer?

LEED Registrations top 6300, green building trend accelerates!
LEED Workshop attendees topped 7000 for the first five months of 2007, and the number of LEED Accredited Professionals now exceeds 37,000. Total LEED registrations (for the four major commercial rating systems) now top 6,300, with more than 820 projects certified under all programs. The US Green Building Council has more than 9,000 members, up about 1,500 this year alone. Everyone is getting on the green building bandwagon, and project/development marketing is starting to reflect this new reality. Are you seeing evidence of this where you work, if you’re an architect, builder, engineer, design professional, developer or public official?
