Published by the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (www.naiop.org), in July of 2006, this book provides everything you need to know to make the business case for green buildings, especially as it applies to industrial and office projects. The 110-page trade paperback provides a CD-ROM of case studies submitted for the first NAIOP Green Development Awards in 2005. Jerry Yudelson is a professional engineer with an MBA. He has trained 3,000 people in the LEED green building rating system, and has chaired Greenbuild, the world’s largest green building conference, for the past four years. The founder of a green building consulting firm, he is the author of three books on green building marketing and an advisor to manufacturers, venture capital firms, design firms and developers.

Keynoting Australia’s Green Cities 2010 Conference

Last month, I was invited again to keynote Green Cities 2010 in Melbourne by the Property Council of Australia and the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA). My presentation, “If it doesn’t perform, it can’t be green,” was aimed at creating a sense of urgency in green building projects to aim for high energy savings targets (and to hit them).
