At Greenbuild: Put Christoph Ingenhoven’s Talk on Your Calendar
For those of you attending Greenbuild, we have a strong recommendation: go hear architect Christoph Ingenhoven. We suspect that Ingenhoven is the best European green architect most Americans have never heard of. Be sure to catch his Master Speaker presentation at Greenbuild on Friday, November 13th.
Office tower for the RWE utility in Essen, Germany, and Headquarters building for Lufthansa at Frankfurt Airport
Jerry featured a number of Ingenhoven’s projects and his design philosophy in his book, Green Building Trends: Europe. For example, Ingenhoven’s office tower for the RWE utility in Essen, Germany, in 1995 was Europe’s first truly green high-rise. His headquarters building for Lufthansa at Frankfurt Airport is one of the best green buildings in recent years.
Arizona’s First Major Green Retail Project
Yudelson Associates is proud to have played an important role in partnership with the Vestar Development Co. for the planning and development of the first major green retail project in the state of Arizona. The Oro Valley Marketplace Shops were certified LEED for Core and Shell Silver level. This project demonstrates how to use LEED certification as a tool for project design and construction management. It also features a 77-acre riparian habitat restoration and substantial green power purchases, along with commitments to green operations.

Green Building Keynotes: On a Roll
Jerry Yudelson continues to travel extensively, providing leading edge information and insights at green building, architecture, construction and development events across the country and around the world.
Recent and upcoming keynote speeches include the U.S. Green Building Council’s Central Texas chapter in San Antonio and a presentation on Selling Energy Management Solutions at the Chicago Electric Association. Jerry also addresses issues of international water conservation at the National Society of Plumbing Engineering/Plumbing Contractors of America conference in Detroit, and spoke at the National Association of Electrical Distributors meetings in Chicago and New Orleans.
