Jerry was dubbed the “Godfather of Green” in Wired Magazine’s September issue as part of an interview on zero-carbon homes.

Jerry’s latest initiative is focused on articulating the business case for zero-carbon buildings and homes, which he sees as the next large green building wave.

GreenbuildNext week, October 4-7, Greenbuild 2011 will showcase the state of the green building industry with a high-profile array of speakers and presentations by a virtual who’s who of industry vendors. Jerry will be moderating Session OR06, “Sustainable Campus and Eco-District Planning: What’s Next?” on Wednesday, October 5th at 10:30 am. Jerry will also speak to a gathering of the EnOcean Alliance (the wireless standard for sustainable buildings) about green buildings and smart cities.

Jerry Speaks!

New ZONE Seminar Rolls Out

Tucson SpeakingJerry’s latest seminar is the Zero-Net Energy (ZONE) Building Design Seminar which is specifically oriented toward architects, engineers, builders and developers. This workshop’s premiere presentation was a half-day session in Phoenix on August 26th, with almost two dozen participants.

Other recent talks have included a national webinar on water conservation for the National Association of Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors; a talk on water conservation at the University of Arizona; and a talk in San Diego for the American Society of Plumbing Engineers.

We’re busy lining up 2012 webinars and talks, including the USGBC chapter in Las Vegas, the Construction Specifications Institute western region conference in Tucson, GreenExpo365.com, and an extended studies course on water for San Diego State University.
