About Jerry
A registered professional engineer, Jerry serves as principal at Yudelson Associates, LLC. Jerry has also served on the national board of the U.S. Green Building Council and is currently a member of the national “core committee” for LEED for Core and Shell (LEED-CS) and LEED for New Construction (LEED-NC).
Jerry is an expert in the LEEDâ„¢ green building rating system. As a national LEED Faculty member for the U.S. Green Building Council, he has trained more than 2,500 people in the LEED system.
Currently, Jerry serves as the Chair of the 2006 Greenbuild international green building conference and expo, for the U.S. Green Building Council, the world’s largest, to be held in Denver in November 2006.
Jerry is the author of three books on marketing green buildings, including Developing Green: Strategies for Success, The Insider’s Guide to Marketing Green Buildings, Marketing Green Buildings: Guide for Engineering, Construction, Architecture, 365 Important Questions to Ask about Green Buildings, and many articles, papers and reports.
He holds an MBA (with highest honors) from the University of Oregon and engineering degrees from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and Harvard University. Jerry is a member of the editorial boards of Environmental Design & Construction and the SMPS Marketer. He is Senior Editor at www.igreenbuild.com.
Jerryy is a founding board member of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education and currently serves as the Treasurer of AASHE. He is also a member of the Society for College and University Planning, National Association of Office of Industrial Properties, Association of Energy Engineers and the Society for Marketing Professional Services.
